Brittany Ryan is a CODA raised in a multi-generational Deaf family, where basketball was more than a game, it was a way of life. From the family members who played at Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf, to her Deaf parents who coached her school team to a division championship, the game shaped Brittany’s identity and values from an early age. Basketball never left her, it became her foundation.

In 2019, Brittany joined Made for the W, an organization that pioneered the coverage of women’s basketball culture and storytelling within the WNBA. There, she helped spotlight underrepresented voices and elevate the athletes behind the game’s growth. Drawing on her perspective as a CODA and creative, she crafted visual stories that celebrated the personality, power, and presence of women in basketball, helping redefine how the league is seen and experienced.

Today, that same purpose continues to drive her work, using the lens of basketball to shine brighter spotlights on the communities, creators, and athletes who move the game forward.
